Round 6 of the AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship series will get underway later today at the Hagerstown Half Mile track with our first practice session at 4:50 PM. The Expert Main Event is scheduled for 11 PM (EST).

The Triumph factory sponsored Bonneville Performance team will be on hand to race our Triumph Bonneville Super Trackers at the event, with our rider, Mikey Martin #91. Our goal is to continue to improve on our standings as we have been doing since the Springfield Mile.

Hagerstown Half Mile Update – July 5, 2014

In our first GNC Twins Practice at 4:50 PM we placed 24th out of 47 entries with a 0:25.614 best lap.

At 5:30 PM, in our first GNC Twins Qualifying round 1 we placed 31st with a best lap time of 0:26.012.

Then at  6:10 PM we placed 32nd with a best lap time of 0:25.948, in the GNC Twin Qualifying round 2.

After Opening Ceremonies, in the GNC Twins Semi 1 at 8:50 PM, we placed 3rd with a 0:25.213 best lap.

Then again at 9:50 PM in the GNC Twins Semi 1 we placed 3rd with a 0:25.213 best lap

Mikey got a 2nd row hole shot and held 4th for three laps but lost is in lap six in his heat and battled for a transfer position on missing it by a bike length.
He also battled with 4 riders for the 3rd position in his semi for every lap only getting it by a bike length at the checkered flag.

All of this gave us starting position in the Main Event Expert Race at 11:00 PM. We finished the 25 laps in 15th place with a 0:25.207 best lap. This puts us in 14th place in the overall points standing for the Grand National Championship, with 6 out of 16 rounds completed.

Now it is on to Grays Harbor in Elma, WA for Round 7 on July 19th.
