Back Street Heroes is the original custom bike magazine in the UK, currently headquartered in London. They have been publishing the magazine since 1983. The most recent issue of BSH features an article entitled “The Road Less Traveled” about our Bonneville Performance Street Tracker 1100. This particular Street Tracker 1100 was completed by Bonneville Performance owner and custom builder Bill Gately shortly before the Daytona 200 in the Spring of 2014, and these photos were taken at the Daytona race track. By the way… Danny Eslick won that race on a Triumph Daytona 675R!

The Bonneville Performance Street Tracker 1100

This bike started with a 270 degree Bonneville 865cc engine. Bill completely rebuilds it enlarging the displacement to 1100 cc, with a balanced crankshaft, high performance head and cams. Twin flat side Mikuni carbs are used on the intake side, and a custom 2 into 1 exhaust system is employed. The chrome molly mono-shock frame is custom designed and built from scratch. All components are of the highest quality and designed for strength, durability and lowered weight. The BP Street Tracker 1100 ends up weighing right around 350 lbs. and puts out an incredible 90 HP with 76 ft. lbs. of torque at 4700 rpm.
